My web phone did not appear

Please ensure you accepted the two Humnut/ C2Call GmbH Certificate / pop ups. Humnut's unique web phone requires these certificates to run smoothly. They allow the software to check your audio settings relating to your PC's microphone/loudspeaker or head set. The cert is perfectly safe to run. Please, select "trust" or "always trust" and click on the button "run"

I have by mistake rejected the Humnut/ C2Call GmbH

What do I have to do?
Simple, Just close and restart your web browser. You are then requested at the next login once more to trust the Humnut certificate. Make sure that there is a check on the "Always trust content from this publisher" box before you click on the button "run"

Do I have to except the Humnut / C2Call GmbH certi

No, you must only trust the C2Call GmbH certificate once, or run the certificate. Activate the checkbox beside "Always trust content from this publisher" on the left side and click on the botton "run". You are not invited at your next login to trust the C2Call GmbH certificate any more.

What do I need to make a call?

You'll need a computer and an internet connection.
You'll need sound on your computer. Plug in earphones if your computer has an external microphone or plug in a headset if you don't have an external microphone.
Sign in to Humnut user area.
Type the phone number you want to dial - including the country code and area code/prefix and don't forget to drop that zero at the beginning of the area code/prefix.
Press the green icon to make a call.
Hopefully the person you are calling picks up the phone and then you're talking!
Don't forget to press the red button to cancel a call or to end your conversation.

I can't get through to the phone number I dialled.

Have you typed the country code followed by the area code/prefix and then the phone number? You have to include this even if you're ringing your next door neighbour. Have you checked to see if the country you are trying to call is one of the 40+ that you can call from Humnut?

Is there any way to see details of calls I've made

No - this is a free service so there's no billing information.

Is there a limit to how long I can stay on any one

Yes. The maximum amount of time on a call is 8 minutes. We must impose this due to some disrespectful users abusing our service. When the call hangs up you can simple just redial and make further free calls.

Can I buy credit to call mobile phones?

Sorry not at the moment. We only supply free calls to landlines at the moment. We are trying to work out a way that we can give our users free calls to mobiles. If you have any suggestions please let us know.

Can I call someone on Skype or similar?

No. We only offer calls to landline or mobile phone numbers.

Minimum System Requirements:

PC running Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 (with SP2)
300 MHz processor
128 MB RAM
10 MB free disk space on your hard drive
Sound Card and a headset
Internet Connection broadband: Cable, DSL, with minimum 64 kbit/s up/downstream)
However, in order to take advantage of all of the advanced features of the Humnut and to experience the best sound quality possible, we highly recommend you look at the recommended system requirements below.

Recommended System Requirements:

PC running Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 (with SP2)
1 GHz processor
256 MB RAM
30 MB free space on your hard drive
Full duplex sound card (most sound cards made after 1998), headset
Cable, DSL or equivalent broadband connection to Internet

Improving Sound Quality

To get the best possible sound quality, we highly recommend you try the following:
Use a headset with a built in microphone. Headsets are available for purchase at most computer retailers and will dramatically improve sound quality.

If you don't have a headset, you are still likely to improve sound quality if you:

Use headphones instead of your computer speakers
Try moving the microphone closer or further away from your mouth
Use an external microphone (note that most laptops use low-quality microphones)
Update your soundcard drivers
Note that if you don't own a microphone, you may be able to use a pair of headphones as a temporary solution by connecting these to the microphone jack of your sound card. Try it!

When I make a call I see 'Service Unavailable'

If you are trying to place a call and you are seeing this message please contact us via the green help button on the right handside of your screen. Our support team will then resolve this issue for you. Please remember this is a free service and our support level is limited. Our support team may take up to 72 hours to respond.

My web phone displays a 'Forbidden' message

For a list of our available destinations please view the "40 Destinations" link at the button of every page on our website.

My web phone displays a "Declined" message

As you can understand we have lots of users because all calls are completely free of charge. At certain times in the day our service becomes over loaded with users making free calls. We can only connect a certain amount of users at any given time. If you are getting a declined message on the web phone this means our service is overloaded. If you wish to wait a moment and try agin you should be then able to make a call.
